Transcarent Appoints Rosa as Chief Marketing Officer

Former Fitbit Chief Marketing Officer will lead marketing initiatives to support company’s rapid growth while creating a new health and care experience category

Transcarent, a company building new, different, and better health and care experiences for employees of self-insured employers and their families, announced the appointment of Tim Rosa as Chief Marketing Officer. Rosa is the latest in a series of strategic senior hires to support the company’s continued growth and market expansion. Rosa will lead strategy and execution of the company’s brand marketing, commercial marketing, product marketing, and demand generation to drive growth while working in partnership with sales, product, and engagement teams to expand activation, utilization, and retention. He will report directly to Transcarent Chief Executive Officer Glen Tullman.

“Transcarent is attracting top talent from some of the biggest consumer brands and healthcare organizations as we execute our vision to bring transparency and humanity to health and care,” said Tullman. “His experience in launching and scaling world-class brands and impactful health services that drive global consumer engagement will be critical as Transcarent continues to expand our offering to provide more Members with the health and care experience they deserve. I couldn’t be more excited to welcome Tim to the team.”

Rosa brings deep expertise in consumer and B2B marketing, brand development, and consumer engagement to his new role, having spent more than 15 years in leadership positions across the healthcare and technology industries. Rosa served as Chief Marketing Officer at Fitbit, where he helped launch the category of wearable fitness + health products, built the company’s marketing organization, scaled the wearables and services business into a top 20 consumer brand, and engaged more than 130 million individuals globally. He played a pivotal role in the company’s IPO, which was one of the most successful consumer electronics IPOs to date.

“The majority of consumers and employers are disenchanted and frankly, underwhelmed, by their current end-to-end healthcare experience,” said Rosa. “I joined Transcarent because of Glen’s vision as a change agent and his passion to make a difference in the world. He has a track record of building world-class health services for consumers and employers that are beloved, member-focused, and outcome driven. I’m excited to join as Chief Marketing Officer to help shape a new category in healthcare, scale the company and build a world-class marketing organization that’s mission driven and passionate to create the future of health and care.”
