Enhanced payment system introduces new tools and capabilities to create a better, secure patient experience
Elavon, a leading global payments provider and subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp, has released enhancements to Payment Navigator, its healthcare payments solution designed to help providers better manage their revenue cycle, while also improving the patient experience.
Payment Navigator, powered by InstaMed, improves the likelihood that providers receive payment for their services by making it easy and convenient for patients to make payments. The solution even offers options such as payment plans with automatic notifications about upcoming plan transactions.
Utilizing InstaMed’s healthcare payments network, Payment Navigator delivers a secure and compliant solution for payment transactions. The new, intuitive design – based on input received from healthcare providers – is fast, easy and convenient to use for both patients and staff.
Twenty-four hours a day, Payment Navigator works to securely process a variety of payments, including in-person, online portals, kiosks, back office and IVR (interactive voice response). It also accepts all payment types, including card (debit, credit, HSA/FSA), eCheck, paper check and cash.
It enhances interactions between staff and patients by allowing staff to view all patient payment details on a single screen, enabling quick responses to patient inquiries. To streamline operational processes for providers, the solution integrates secure healthcare payments into any healthcare IT system, including practice management systems, patient portals and other systems.
