Cerebral Launches “Strong Start” Multi-Month Packages to Drive Better Mental Health Outcomes

Recent Cerebral data shows improved mental health outcomes after two months of treatment

Cerebral, an online provider of psychiatric and behavioral therapy services, has launched Strong Start, a clinically-proven package designed to provide clients with time and flexibility to strengthen client-provider relationships, achieve consistent results, and commit to long-term emotional well-being. Strong Start offers three starter package options:

  • Medication management at $236 for four months ($59 per month)
  • Therapy at $490 for two months ($245 per month)
  • Therapy and Medication management at $598 for two months ($299 per month)

Strong Start packages and all Cerebral care plans are FSA and HSA eligible.

“Therapy doesn’t work overnight. It requires time, consistency and the flexibility to fit into our busy lives,” said Dr. David Mou, CEO of Cerebral. “At Cerebral, our clients come first, and we are constantly looking for innovative ways to provide high-quality, convenient and affordable treatment for mental healthcare. This multi-month package is doing just that. We are confident that Strong Start will yield greater positive clinical outcomes for our clients during their mental health journeys.”

A minimum of two months of treatment has been proven to deliver better clinical outcomes across existing product plans: Medication, Therapy and Therapy + Medication. Based on data from more than 70,000 Cerebral clients with moderate to severe anxiety and depression from 2020 to 2023, a long-term commitment to care is critical to achieving better outcomes:

  • Cerebral clients who stayed on the Medication plan for more than four months were 3x more likely to report feeling better.
  • Cerebral clients who stayed on the Therapy plan for more than two months were 3x more likely to report feeling better.
  • Cerebral clients who stayed on the Therapy + Medication plan for more than two months were 3x more likely to report feeling better.

“Strong Start gives clients more breathing room to establish a strong connection with a care team. It also addresses the fact that schedules can be unpredictable and prioritizing therapy can be difficult. The ongoing commitment gives clients time to find a care team they are engaged with and one that works with their schedule. Ultimately, allowing them to meet their mental healthcare goals,” added Alexandria Stried, chief product officer, Cerebral.
