rater8 Adds “AI Insights” Conversational Analytics to Patient Feedback Platform

New tool lets healthcare practices query review and survey data in plain language to surface trends, summaries, and potential issues

rater8, a healthcare reputation management company, launched AI Insights, a conversational AI feature within its rater8 Visibility Engine (raVE) platform designed to help medical practices access and interpret patient feedback data more quickly.

The company said AI Insights allows users to ask natural-language questions about review and sentiment data and receive responses intended to highlight trends, common themes, and performance signals without requiring manual report-building or dashboard analysis.

According to rater8, the tool is designed for a range of roles including practice administrators, healthcare marketing teams, and patient experience staff. The company said use cases include identifying positive feedback and testimonials for marketing, pinpointing differentiators and areas for improvement, generating executive-ready summaries, and flagging urgent issues that may require immediate attention.

rater8 said a group of customers previewed the feature across different practice sizes and specialties and reported benefits such as faster review analysis, clearer prioritization of staff feedback for recognition or improvement, and quicker creation of concise summaries for clinicians with limited time.

“Traditional reports require too much manual work and aren’t very intuitive,” said Alissa Ashley-High, practice administrator at Orthopaedic Associates of Marlborough, in a statement released by the company. “With AI Insights, I can get exactly what I need without extra customization.”

Evan Steele, rater8’s founder and CEO, said the feature is intended to make patient sentiment analysis more accessible across teams. He noted that patient feedback can influence volume, quality metrics, and risk management, but many organizations lack the time or resources to review data manually.
