Startup event celebrates Innovation, Disruption, Evolution and Acceleration
TMC announced the call for participants has opened for IDEA Showcase at ITEXPO being held Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As part of ITEXPO, taking place from February 8-10, IDEA Showcase offers a forum for new companies to take center stage and present their innovative ideas and business plans.
Judging will be based on the submission of a completed entry form plus a 5-minute live pitch, and Q&A with the judging panel. Audience members will have the opportunity for their favorite pitch as well. All applications must be received by November 15, 2016.
“IDEA Showcase celebrates the innovation that arise for the competitive nature of startups while also giving them the rare opportunity to present their business live to the thousands of potential investors, partners and customers,” said Rich Tehrani, TMC CEO and conference chairman. “We’re excited to highlight this year’s cutting-edge technologies on the verge of transforming the entire communications industry.”
Previous winners have received funding as a direct result of participating in IDEA showcase. Winners come from a variety of backgrounds and include, VoiceBase, Stereotheque, Niwa. VoiceBase presented its predictive insights which leverage speech recognition and machine learning technology, to enable automatic call scoring and business process automation. Stereotheque allows for the exploration of music through music scenes based on location, music preferences and pure raw serendipity. Niwa presented a platform that puts advanced gardening knowledge into hands of everyone, making it easy to not only grow, but to share, experiment, collaborate, and optimize for maximum yields.
