The Future of Ultrasound Technology
Ultrasound and sonography technology has a long history and a promising future.
The technology has evolved from electronically sending sound waves, to a tool that can diagnose diseases such as breast cancer and cardiovascular disease.
Today, remote ultrasound devices allow people in rural areas or third world countries to have access to diagnoses that prevent birth complications and other health complications. Using ultrasound technology as a diagnostic tool is a much less expensive and oftentimes safer way to diagnose illnesses compared CT scans and MRIs.
As the technology advances, different uses and diagnostic strategies are being discovered, saving lives the world over.
