Intelerad Launches New InteleHeart Platform to Streamline Cardiology Care and Improve Outcomes

Intelerad Medical Systems, a global provider of medical imaging software, has launched the next generation of InteleHeart, an integrated cardiology platform designed to simplify workflows, enhance data access, and support more personalized treatment across the continuum of cardiac care.

InteleHeart consolidates viewing, reporting, analytics, and workflow orchestration into a single, cloud-enabled platform. The solution aims to reduce clinical inefficiencies caused by fragmented systems and help care teams make faster, more informed decisions based on a complete view of each patient’s cardiac history.

Tackling Siloed Systems in Cardiology

Cardiology departments have traditionally relied on multiple systems to manage imaging, reporting, and patient data. These silos can delay diagnosis, increase the risk of clinical errors, and contribute to clinician burnout due to repetitive manual tasks.

InteleHeart addresses these challenges by unifying cardiovascular data into a single platform. Clinicians gain immediate access to relevant imaging, reports, and prior patient history, reducing the need to switch between systems and enabling quicker, more coordinated care.

“InteleHeart represents a significant turning point for cardiology care and workflow management,” said Morris Panner, President of Intelerad. “By removing the barriers that exist today, we help clinicians see the whole picture, so they spend less time chasing information to make decisions.”

Improving Efficiency and Reducing Costs

Beyond its clinical applications, the platform is also designed to reduce operational and financial strain for hospitals and health systems. By replacing redundant infrastructure and automating manual processes, InteleHeart helps lower software licensing costs, streamline operations, and alleviate staffing pressures.

These improvements are especially impactful in high-demand environments like cardiac catheterization labs, where resource utilization and timely decision-making are critical.

Clinical Validation from Health Systems

Piedmont Healthcare, a large not-for-profit health system and long-time Intelerad partner, is among the early adopters of the new InteleHeart platform.

“Efficiency is critical in cardiology, and we’re excited to have InteleHeart save our physicians valuable time by seamlessly integrating cardiac imaging, reporting, and workflows,” said Dr. Venkateshwar Polsani, cardiologist at Piedmont. “As an institution focused on timely, quality care, we value how InteleHeart gives us a wide and deep view into the patient health history.”

Scalable and Cloud-Optimized

InteleHeart is built with cloud scalability in mind, supporting deployment in diverse healthcare environments—from large enterprise systems to imaging centers and academic institutions. The platform also supports standardized, structured reporting, which can improve collaboration across clinical and research teams.

Intelerad notes that InteleHeart’s optimized deployment planning and interoperability features are designed to meet the evolving needs of modern cardiology practices and health systems.
