The Sequoia Project Awarded Next Option Year for TEFCA RCE Contract as Network Surpasses 9,400 Connected Organizations

Vienna, VA – August 26, 2025 — The Sequoia Project will continue its role as the Recognized Coordinating Entity® (RCE®) for the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement™ (TEFCA™) after being awarded the next option year on its federal contract with the Department of Health and Human Services’ Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy (ASTP) and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC).

The renewal comes as TEFCA reaches major adoption milestones.
