KP Selects Innovaccer’s Healthcare AI Platform

Kaiser Permanente will implement Innovaccer’s Healthcare AI Platform to support value-based care initiatives

Kaiser Permanente, currently serving 12.5 million members in eight states and the District of Columbia, is dedicated to care innovations, clinical research, health education and the support of community health. To further their mission, Kaiser Permanente is collaborating with Innovaccer, a leading healthcare technology company, and will implement Innovaccer’s Healthcare AI Platform specifically to support the organization’s value-based care initiatives.

The implementation of Innovaccer within Kaiser Permanente’s integrated healthcare system is starting with its Washington market. This initial deployment is slated for completion this summer, with consideration for subsequent expansion across other Kaiser Permanente markets and subsidiaries.

“Kaiser Permanente has had incredible success with its value-based care delivery model through its best-in-class operating practices,” said Abhinav Shashank, cofounder and CEO of Innovaccer. “With Innovaccer’s AI platform, Kaiser Permanente will be able to provide an EHR- and payer-agnostic platform to advance their value-based care expertise, technology and services.”

“As we continue to build out our unique set of flexible capabilities, tools, and services –
developed by clinicians and experts and grounded in evidence and real-world best practices – we are excited at the prospect of assembling advanced technologies and solutions that can help us accelerate our ability to deliver the best value to our patients and our organization,” said Dr. Paul Minardi, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, KP Medical Foundation.

The collaboration will include the implementation of Innovaccer’s Healthcare AI Platform alongside its population health management solutions within Kaiser Permanente’s Washington market, serving approximately 650,000 members.
Innovaccer was also recently selected as the platform of choice to support the California PHM Initiative, which is a collaboration between Community Health Centers, Regional Associations of California, California Primary Care Association, Department of Health Care Services, and Kaiser Permanente. The initiative is leveraging Innovaccer’s AI platform for healthcare to unify and aggregate data into a single source of truth to enhance health equity and community well-being.
