Carle Foundation Hospital Kicks Off MediNav Development to Enhance the Patient Experience with Indoor GPS

Carle Foundation Hospital announced that it has kicked off its deployment of Connexient’s MediNav solution for Digital Wayfinding and Indoor Navigation.  Based in Urbana, Illinois, Carle is an integrated network of healthcare services composed of the Carle Foundation Hospital, Carle Physician Group and Health Alliance Medical Plans serving nearly 170,000 unique patients annually, providing the highest quality care in 80 specialties located in 14 communities across central Illinois.

Connexient’s MediNav provides rich indoor maps, true turn-by-turn indoor navigation and “All Screens” digital wayfinding to enhance the patient and visitor experience. MediNav also provides rich analytics on how patients are navigating the facility, helping Carle to increase operational efficiencies.

The deployment by Carle will eventually include the integration of their Epic appointment scheduling solution and MediNav’s end-to-end digital wayfinding and navigation to reduce missed or late appointments and drive an innovative new “Airline Check-in Model” personalized patient user experience.
