Flourish Health Raises $46M to Scale Intensive Mental Health Care for Youth in Crisis

Funding fuels national expansion of model that delivers proven outcomes for high-acuity kids through psychiatrist-led Care Pods and an AI-enabled care delivery platform

Flourish Health has raised $26 million in Series A financing to expand its in-home mental health care model for children and young adults with complex behavioral health needs. The funding round was led by B Capital, F-Prime and Cherryrock Capital, bringing the company’s total funding to $46 million.

The Richmond, Virginia-based company partners with health plans to provide psychiatrist-led, team-based care for young patients whose needs often exceed the capabilities of traditional outpatient behavioral health programs. Its care model combines child and adolescent psychiatrists, licensed therapists, patient guides and family guides to deliver coordinated care in patients’ homes.

According to the company, the model has reduced hospitalizations and residential treatment while helping patients remain engaged in long-term care. Flourish said the new funding will support nationwide expansion, investments in its AI-powered clinical workflow platform and additional hiring of clinicians and care teams.

The company’s proprietary technology is designed to streamline administrative tasks, coordinate care teams and integrate clinical workflows, allowing providers to spend more time with patients while maintaining human oversight of clinical decisions.

Flourish Health currently works with major commercial and Medicaid health plans to support children and young adults with severe mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, suicide risk and disruptive behavior disorders.
