Milestone Exceeded in the Reporting of Cybersecurity Preparedness of Healthcare Products Assessed on Censinet RiskOps™ and Reported on the KLAS Research Website

KLAS and Censinet, a provider of healthcare IT risk solutions, announced that more than 200 healthcare products have achieved the Cybersecurity Transparent status through a voluntary risk assessment process and program managed by Censinet and reported by KLAS Research. With the launch of the Cybersecurity Transparent designation as part of the recently released Best in KLAS 2022 Awards: Software and Services report, more healthcare leaders have access to and insights into the overall preparedness of their vendors and products.

As part of its annual report, KLAS added a category under software and services that signifies if a product has gone through a Censinet risk assessment and received a Cybersecurity Transparent designation, indicating that products meet the rigorous requirements for deployment and integration into healthcare provider environments.

The partnership, established in late 2020, included collaborative research, insight sharing, special report access, and cybersecurity best practices, arming healthcare providers and their vendors with vital information to improve their cybersecurity posture and ultimately foster a more secure and productive healthcare ecosystem. The Cybersecurity Transparent program results from the expanding partnership. It enables healthcare IT vendors and services firms to improve their overall risk and security profile by driving greater trust and transparency to thousands of healthcare providers.

“Cybersecurity is no longer an option for market-leading products from blue-chip companies that support the healthcare industry, and our partnership with Censinet brings effective risk management to the forefront,” said Taylor Davis, President of KLAS. “Integrating cybersecurity assessments into our Best in KLAS not only fosters industry transparency, but it also accelerates the adoption of healthcare solutions that don’t compromise a provider’s risk posture.”

“In just over a year working alongside KLAS on the Cybersecurity Transparent Program, I’m impressed not only by the increase in vendor participation but also by the strategic importance of their product submissions, ” said Cormac Miller, President of Censinet. “Using the Censinet RiskOps platform is now a proven catalyst for enterprise-level risk assessments of vendors and their products that are critical for patient safety and data protection. This program has elevated the cybersecurity posture of providers who work with Cybersecurity Transparent vendors.”
