Imagine Pediatrics expands into four new states, enters commercial health plan market
Expansion targets Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina, and New York as company grows payer partnerships for children with special health care needs
Imagine Pediatrics is expanding into Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina, and New York and moving into the commercial health plan market as it grows services for children with special health care needs.
The Nashville-based pediatric medical group operates a 24/7 care model that combines virtual care with in-home services. Care teams integrate medical, behavioral, and social support, with the organization positioning its services as an add-on to existing primary and specialty care intended to reduce fragmentation and close care gaps.
Imagine Pediatrics reported it now serves more than 70,000 children and that its patient population has doubled over the past year. The organization works with Medicaid and commercial health plans through value-based, risk-based arrangements, and it reported improvements in outcomes, total cost of care, and caregiver and provider experience.
Chief Executive George Boghos attributed the growth to rising health plan interest in new approaches for children with complex needs, with partnerships designed to align quality and cost goals.
Children with special health care needs represent roughly 20% of U.S. children and account for a disproportionate share of pediatric health care spending across Medicaid and commercial insurance, according to the organization. Imagine Pediatrics also reported caregiver satisfaction results, including a Net Promoter Score above 86.
Market launches in the four new states are expected to begin in early 2026, with implementation planned in collaboration with health plans, local providers, and community organizations.
