RXNT Releases Standalone Ambient IQ Tool for Clinical Documentation
The healthcare software company expands access to its AI-driven ambient documentation system
RXNT is expanding access Ambient IQ, an ambient listening and documentation tool, as a standalone product to healthcare providers nationwide. The tool, originally deployed to users of RXNT’s electronic health records (EHR) system in August, is one of a small number of ambient clinical documentation platforms built directly within an existing medical software ecosystem rather than through third-party integrations.
Ambient IQ is designed to capture provider-patient conversations and automatically generate structured clinical notes. According to RXNT, the platform draws on more than two decades of clinical data and product development within the company’s software suite. Providers may use the tool alongside any EHR and can optionally integrate it with RXNT’s system.
The company says the native design allows the tool to identify and document clinical details that might otherwise be missed. RXNT reports that early users have seen reductions of up to 70 percent in documentation time. The platform’s Encounter Insights feature summarizes visit conversations and highlights potential inconsistencies in charting.
RXNT positions Ambient IQ as a documentation aid rather than a diagnostic tool. The company cites a 2025 Microsoft study showing improved diagnostic accuracy with the use of AI-assisted technologies, adding that more consistent record-keeping may help reduce errors that influence medical decision-making.
Early evaluations from physicians quoted by the company describe improvements in accuracy and workflow efficiency. RXNT attributes performance to its long-term data assets and the tool’s embedded development within its clinical software environment.
The tool supports mobile-initiated, HIPAA-compliant recording sessions and offers templates for multiple specialties, including behavioral health and psychiatry.
Ambient IQ is available with a 90-day free trial that includes 30 ambient sessions. RXNT is waiving credit-card requirements for sign-up during the first month of availability. After the trial, the service costs $75 per month for unlimited use. Providers who adopt RXNT’s clinical software can access Ambient IQ without additional fees. Company data from 2024 suggests that improved software workflows may increase provider capacity by as many as 20 patients per week.
RXNT says the aim is to reduce administrative burden, which it identifies as a driver of physician burnout.
