Imagine Pediatrics Secures $67M to Expand Value-Based Care for Children With Special Health Care Needs

Imagine Pediatrics has raised $67 million in Series B funding to expand its virtual and in-home care services for children with special health care needs.
The round included continued backing from Oak HC/FT, Optum Ventures, and Rubicon Founders, along with new investment from the Autism Impact Fund (AIF) and others.
Growing Reach and Care Model
Founded in 2022, Imagine Pediatrics currently cares for about 40,000 children nationwide. The company operates through an integrated model that combines medical, behavioral, and social care.
With the new funding, the organization plans to:
- Expand its national footprint
- Enhance its technology platform
- Support clinical programs aimed at closing gaps in pediatric care
Addressing a Significant Need
In the U.S., one in five children has a special health care need, accounting for nearly half of all pediatric healthcare spending across Medicaid and commercial insurance. Many face chronic medical conditions, behavioral health challenges, and unmet social needs.
Imagine Pediatrics provides families with 24/7 access to multidisciplinary care teams that coordinate with existing providers. Services range from pharmacy and nutrition support to palliative care and social services.
Outcomes and Impact
Through value-based partnerships with health plans, the company has completed nearly 300,000 patient encounters in just over two years. These efforts have helped reduce emergency department visits and avoidable hospital admissions, generating an estimated $65 million in savings for partners in 2024.
Families have reported positive experiences with the program, reflected in a Net Promoter Score above 86.
Voices From the Field
“This investment strengthens our ability to scale proven, innovative care models that expand access, improve outcomes, and lower costs for children with special health care needs and their families,” said George Boghos, CEO of Imagine Pediatrics.
“As the investment and innovation arm of the autism community, AIF is proud to become a strategic investor with Imagine Pediatrics, supporting their mission to reimagine pediatric health care together,” said Chris Male, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of the Autism Impact Fund.
