Mindyra Appoints Bruce Brandes as CEO to Drive Growth in Predictive Behavioral Health Solutions

Darien, CT – September 9, 2025 – Mindyra, a leader in AI-enabled predictive analytics and measurement-based care, has appointed veteran healthcare technology executive Bruce Brandes as Chief Executive Officer. The move comes as the company accelerates the development of its behavioral health risk stratification and care navigation platform, amid a growing mental health crisis and heightened demand for proactive, integrated solutions.
The leadership transition is accompanied by a bold rebrand and expanded solution set, positioning Mindyra to better serve healthcare systems and risk-bearing organizations striving to identify behavioral health challenges earlier and deliver coordinated, cost-effective care.
Experienced Leadership for the Next Phase of Growth
Brandes brings 35 years of experience scaling digital health companies, with a track record of driving innovation in health systems and whole-person care. Most recently, he served as President of care.ai, where he helped pioneer smart hospital technology and guided the company through its acquisition by Stryker. His previous leadership roles at Livongo and Teladoc further cement his reputation for advancing digital transformation in healthcare.
“Bruce is a proven healthcare leader with the vision and operational expertise to meet this moment,” said Bill Battey, Founder and Executive Chairman of Mindyra. “His ability to connect high-value technology with real-world clinical operations will accelerate our mission to transform how behavioral health is identified, managed, and measured.”
Strengthening Governance and Market Expertise
Mindyra has also expanded its Board of Directors and Advisory Boards to guide its growth strategy and deepen expertise in clinical and operational domains:
- Michael Rowe, CPA, FHFMA, former SVP and Chief Business Development Officer at Kaiser Permanente, joins the Board to advise on financial and growth strategy.
- Robert Aseltine, PhD, a nationally recognized expert in predictive modeling for behavioral health, has been named Chair of the Data Science Advisory Board.

“Behavioral health has been under-identified and underserved for far too long,” said Mike Rowe, Mindyra Board Director. “Our mission is to help healthcare organizations predict risk earlier and proactively manage behavioral health needs at scale.”
Addressing the Behavioral Health Crisis with Predictive Insights
Mindyra’s proprietary platform combines clinically validated tools and industry-standard assessments to stratify behavioral health risk, optimize resource allocation, and guide patients and providers to the right care at the right time. This approach addresses growing pressures under value-based care and pay-for-performance models, where unmanaged behavioral conditions drive higher costs and poorer outcomes.
The company’s rebrand signals a sharper focus on delivering actionable, predictive insights directly to health systems and payors, enabling them to proactively intervene before behavioral health challenges escalate.
A Personal Mission to Improve Care
Brandes emphasized the personal stakes behind Mindyra’s mission:
“Almost every family has been touched by behavioral health challenges,” he said. “Bill founded Mindyra to bring measurement-based care to the forefront of behavioral health. Today, with our data, tools, and a growing network of partners, we are ready to work alongside health systems and risk-bearing entities to better serve patients and their caregivers.”
