Delivers next generation of social alarms and behavioral monitoring to support senior independent living
Cloud-based connected living solutions provider Essence recently completed full integration of its Care@HomeTM platform for elderly monitoring with Verklizan, a leading European provider of emergency call center management platforms.
Care@Home™ Enhanced Telecare Services Platform is an independent living solution offering a seamless health monitoring experience, allowing independence for seniors and peace of mind for their loved ones. The system provides the spectrum of active, passive and intelligent alerting capabilities, including: PERS+, the next generation of social alarms; Family, customized monitoring with an advance rule based engine; and Pro, a personalized and intelligent service that constantly learns and adapts to the daily behavior of individuals and provides alerts based on deviations from the individual routine.
Verklizan is one of the largest monitoring center software developers in Europe. Integration between its UMO platform for healthcare monitoring and Care@Home allows service providers the flexibility to offer their customers services from basic emergency alarms to a professional, intelligent home care solution. These solutions provide monitoring for the entire life span of the elderly customer, encompassing changes in conditions and changing monitoring requirements.
“We have been working with Essence’s solutions for some time, integrating their basic emergency alert systems,” said Paul Shead, Managing Director, Verklizan Ltd. “The extension of our partnership is quite significant. Now our customers can profitably deliver the benefits of passive, behavior-based alerts, which opens many new opportunities in our industry.”
“With Verklizan’s adoption, providers can significantly enhance their service offerings,” said Dr. Haim Amir, CEO and President of Essence. “Meanwhile, their customers – the families – get the peace of mind that comes with knowing a watchful but nonintrusive eye is always looking after them.”
PERS+ includes Essence’s new Voice Panic Detector. The VPD is the first product in the industry to employ voice recognition technology to give seniors access to emergency response by using the most seamless interface of all – their voices. It recently won the ESX Innovation award for excellence in the PERS field of personal emergency technologies.
Additionally, with Care@Home Family’s and Pro’s intelligent analytical capabilities, monitoring companies can immediately provide a complete range of services with myriad types of alerts, without additional integration.
