IntelyCare Adds Uber and Google Executives to Its Board in Support of Unprecedented Revenue Growth

The AI-powered staffing platform for nursing professionals in the post-acute sector announces a projected 300%+ YoY revenue growth; adds two key execs from Google and Uber to the board.

IntelyCare, the largest staffing platform for nursing professionals seeking post-acute per-diem positions, today announced that it has seen unprecedented growth, as management is projecting a 300%+ growth in revenue over the last year. The triple-digit revenue increase occurred as the company continued to blow past its previous highs in the number of shift hours filled by IntelyCare nursing professionals and expanded its geographical presence to a total of 25 U.S. states. Additionally, IntelyCare has added two new directors to its board: Janelle Sallenave, a former Uber executive who built Uber Eats into the largest food delivery service in the country; and Aashima Gupta, global director, healthcare solutions at Google Cloud.

IntelyCare reported that it recently topped 8 million shift hours completed by its nursing professionals at the post-acute facilities it partners with. On track to top 10 million by the end of the year, the shift hours reflect IntelyCare’s rapid growth, as the company had only surpassed 1 million hours just two years ago. The number of nursing professionals who have signed on to work with IntelyCare – known as IntelyPros – has grown to 24,000. Of those IntelyPros, 77% work exclusively for IntelyCare.

“The tremendous growth we’re seeing in shift hours filled is a direct reflection of the fact that nurses across the country are seeking more control over their work lives, as well as compensation and benefits that reflect their value,” said David Coppins, IntelyCare co-founder and CEO. “We not only employ our IntelyPros as W2 workers, but our technology empowers them to achieve a work/life balance by choosing when they work, where, and for how long.”

By putting the needs of nursing professionals first, IntelyCare is helping to combat the critical shortage of nurses our country is facing. The shortage is particularly dire for post-acute care facilities – who were already seeing a pre-pandemic annual turnover of 128%. While legacy healthcare staffing agencies lack the sophistication to truly provide the flexibility that makes per-diem nursing so popular, IntelyCare’s platform couples data and behavioral science with advanced machine learning to produce optimal pay rates, personalized matching, and benefits. The resulting higher market liquidity fills staffing demand at three times the industry average.

With the addition of Sallenave and Gupta to the board, IntelyCare has added two executives with years of highly relevant experience at high-growth companies. Sallenave, the former head of Uber Eats for the U.S. and Canada, built and ran the division, turning it into the largest food delivery service in the country. She is now the Senior Vice President of Operations and Member Services at the FinTech company Chime. Gupta, is a technology and healthcare industry veteran, who before joining Google oversaw digital health incubations at Kaiser Permanente, one of the largest integrated delivery networks in the United States.

“We’re thrilled to add Janelle and Aashima, two executives with the talent, leadership skills, and the kind of experience that IntelyCare needs during this exciting period of expansion,” said John Shagoury, president and chief operating officer. “From her time at Uber Eats, Janelle knows exactly what it takes to drive rapid growth in a two-sided marketplace. And Aashima, a key healthcare leader at Google, has been at the intersection of the latest healthcare and tech trends at Google, arguably the most innovative technology company in the world. Both of these executives can provide valuable perspectives on how IntelyCare can continue to grow and redefine the nursing profession.”
