Don’t miss this year’s keynotes: Health Futurist Ian Morrison and Harvey Fineberg, President of the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.

Dr. Fineberg is the president of the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, one of the largest foundations in America. Before joining the Moore Foundation in 2015, Dr. Fineberg was the long-term president of the Institute of Medicine (now the National Academy of Medicine). Under his leadership at the IOM, he created several ground breaking reports including Crossing the Quality Chasm, Best Care at Lower Cost: The Path to Continuously Learning Health Care in America and Dying in America. IOM also partnered to host the first ever Health Datapalooza, where incidentally Health 2.0 officially launched its Developer Challenge program. Prior to the IOM, Harvey was the Provost of Harvard University and the Dean of the Harvard School of Public Health.

The Moore Foundation’s Patient Care Program seeks to improve the experience and outcomes of patient care. Known primarily for its work in nursing, the foundation is now exploring ways to improve patient safety and the end-of-life care, recognizing technology plays an important role in both. At the conference, Dr. Fineberg will share his thoughts about the future of health care.

Mr. Morrison has been one of the leading analysts, forecasters, and thought-leaders of American health care for the past 30 years. Since leaving the role of President at the Institute for the Future, Mr. Morrison has been a principle for the Strategic Health Perspectives consulting service, where he is a regular in the boardroom of the world’s biggest healthcare companies. He is also a regular columnist for Health & Hospital News, has published several books including the 1996 business classic The Second Curve, and spoken to thousands of audiences worldwide. At the conference, Mr. Morrison will opine about the past, the present and the choices we get to make about the future–as we design a new health care system.
