CloudMedx Inc. and Sutter Physician Services Create Clinical Collaboration

Data sharing, analysis, and outreach to support patient health outcomes

CloudMedx Inc. and Sutter Physician Services (SPS) announce a new collaboration to jointly market their products and services to help healthcare organizations capitalize on real-time sharing of health data to support patient care. CloudMedx’s Clinical AI platform aggregates and analyzes health data to provide clinical insight at all points of care and tracks patients throughout their health journey, creating insights around clinical risk to effectively facilitate inbound or outreach opportunities to patients for the purpose of improving their health. SPS operates an innovative 24/7 healthcare contact center through which patients can interact with nurses regarding their health issues. Through this collaboration, CloudMedx and SPS will better serve the growing needs of healthcare organizations—including health systems, provider groups, and healthcare professionals—dedicated to value-based care for patients.

“As the healthcare industry transitions to a value-based care and risk-based reimbursement models, provider and payer organizations are looking for solutions to help them identify patients with chronic health conditions within their populations and actively manage their care,” said John Bennett, chief of business development at Sutter Physician Services. “SPS has extensive clinical care delivery and revenue cycle management expertise. We are excited to align with the advanced predictive analytics platform from CloudMedx to give patients, providers, and payers alike an innovative approach to managing care, and promoting health and wellness.”

This arrangement brings together two distinct means of enhancing the patient experience and improving clinical outcomes. CloudMedx applies artificial intelligence to health data from disparate sources to generate insights that are available to both the patient and provider organizations. Data points include heredity, prior or current health conditions, biometrics, health monitoring devices, and medical procedures all used to create a patient risk score. Should a health concern arise, SPS offers patients clinical and non-clinical outreach services to collaboratively assess the situation; telephonic nursing services include nurse advice, care management, disease management, health coaching, and other solutions for maintaining health.

Tashfeen Suleman, CEO of CloudMedx, said, “This collaboration highlights the multifaceted strategy that is required of any health care provider in the era of high-quality, affordable care. We have the ability to leverage powerful predictive analytics with dedicated clinicians to improve healthcare results and adhere to value-based care measurements. Combining the offerings of Sutter Physician Services and CloudMedx allows us to create a valuable service that the industry has not seen before.”
