AI-Based Virtual Healthcare Assistant from Bluestem Health debuts.
Bluestem Health recently launched an online virtual medical assistant powered by Mediktor. It is now available for both established and non-established Bluestem Health patients and will allow them to efficiently assess their symptoms online and direct them to the appropriate level of care.
Everyone, including Bluestem Health patients, can now benefit from this AI-based virtual assistant at the first onset of symptoms. It is free and easy-to-use. In less than two minutes, users will complete the self-assessment and receive a recommendation indicating the appropriate point of entry to care based on their recorded symptoms.
Thanks to unique Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) features, patients can enter the symptoms using their own, plain words, followed by a series of personalized questions, reducing waiting lines while optimizing the utilization of medical services. This sophisticated technology combination allows patients to access clinically-validated, human-like online healthcare guidance anytime and anywhere.
The new Bluestem Health Symptom Checker service can be accessed on the homepage (https://www.bluestemlincoln.com/). Bluestem Health’s commitment to providing integrated healthcare services in the community since 2003 is reinforced by this AI virtual assistant. The more than 21,000 patients can leverage these advantages 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days annually. Incorporating this technology raises the experience level for each patient and ensures that no one goes without the necessary care they need.
“Bluestem Health is excited to partner with Mediktor on this AI-based platform,” said CEO Brad Meyer. “As healthcare providers try to get more familiar with our end-users, using and making new technology for our patients will help increase our user satisfaction.”
Cristian Pascual, Mediktor Co-Founder and CEO, said: “Mediktor’s care navigation assistant is totally aligned with Bluestem Health’s commitment to addressing health disparities by enhancing health equity in Lincoln, Nebraska, and accessibility of their medical services. Mediktor is on a mission to improve access to healthcare worldwide and we are very excited to partner with a leading Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) such as Bluestem Health.”
