NeuroStar Integrates TMS With AdvancedMD EHR

New integration connects TMS treatment data with EHR, practice management and revenue cycle workflows.

Neuronetics, Inc., maker of NeuroStar® TMS, announced an integration between its TrakStar® practice management platform and AdvancedMD, a cloud-based EHR, practice management and revenue cycle platform.

The companies said the integration makes NeuroStar the first TMS system to integrate with an EHR/EMR, connecting treatment data with the systems practices use for scheduling, clinical documentation, billing and revenue cycle management.

For practices delivering TMS over multiple treatment sessions, the integration is designed to reduce duplicate data entry and administrative work by bringing treatment information into the same workflow used for the patient’s clinical record and billing.

The integration will be available beginning in the fourth quarter to NeuroStar providers already using AdvancedMD, as well as to providers who adopt AdvancedMD. It will also be available to AdvancedMD practices adding NeuroStar TMS.

Collaborative Solutions in Psychiatry (CSIP), a multi-site NeuroStar practice and AdvancedMD customer in Madison, Wisconsin, participated in the pilot program. The practice said connecting treatment data with its clinical and billing workflows reduced duplicate work for staff.

Neuronetics said NeuroStar has treated more than 253,000 patients through more than 9.1 million treatment sessions nationwide.
