EBSCO Clinical Decisions Names Paul Tuten Executive VP
Tuten will lead strategy and product growth, expanding access to trusted clinical evidence through AI-enabled tools and clinician workflows
EBSCO Clinical Decisions has appointed Paul Tuten as executive vice president, overseeing strategy, content, product development and growth.
Tuten will focus on advancing point-of-care clinical decision support and integrating DynaMed’s expert-reviewed medical content into the digital platforms and AI-enabled tools clinicians use daily.
“His deep technical expertise and track record in academic publishing will help us take the next step in building and delivering trustworthy, evidence-based solutions for clinicians,” said Roy Ziegelstein, MD, MACP, editor-in-chief and chief medical officer of DynaMed.
Tuten joined EBSCO Information Services in 2025 as executive vice president and chief platform officer. Previously, he served as chief product and technology officer at Taylor & Francis and held leadership roles at healthcare technology companies focused on clinical data exchange, patient safety, quality measurement and revenue cycle management.
He also served as a senior adviser to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, supporting health information exchange and electronic health record interoperability initiatives.
Tuten said EBSCO aims to make trusted clinical knowledge more accessible within care delivery workflows, particularly as AI tools expand and medical research grows increasingly complex. He emphasized the importance of expert-reviewed evidence in supporting clinical decisions.
