Clearsense Targets Health System Costs With Cloud Imaging Archive

New solution helps health systems reduce legacy infrastructure expenses, optimize imaging storage and maintain access to historical patient records

Clearsense has introduced a cloud-based medical imaging archive designed to help health systems reduce storage costs, retire legacy imaging infrastructure and maintain access to historical patient studies.

The solution allows hospitals to move infrequently accessed images from expensive production storage to a cloud archive while preserving access for clinicians when needed. It supports CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, PET and dental imaging, including studies received from outside providers.

The archive integrates with existing enterprise imaging systems, allowing clinicians to retrieve studies through a web-based viewer or established imaging applications. Access is governed and audit-logged to support oversight and accountability.

Clearsense also converts images stored in proprietary legacy formats to standards-based Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) files. The process incorporates corrected patient and study information to help maintain consistency with authoritative clinical records.

“Health systems should not have to pay production-storage economics indefinitely for imaging data that is accessed only occasionally,” said Jason Z. Rose, CEO of Clearsense.

The new capability expands Clearsense’s broader application rationalization and active archiving strategy, helping health systems reduce the cost and complexity of maintaining older clinical systems while preserving historical information needed for patient care, compliance and continuity.

Health systems can learn more about the solution through Clearsense.
