Henry Schein and Special Olympics Extend Healthcare Partnership Through 2030

Expanded partnership will support health screenings, provider education, and more inclusive care for people with intellectual disabilities

Henry Schein and Special Olympics have extended their partnership through 2030, continuing efforts to expand access to healthcare services for people with intellectual disabilities.

The collaboration, which began in 2018, supports the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes® program through donations of medical and oral health products used for health screenings and wellness programs at Special Olympics events worldwide.

Since 1997, Healthy Athletes has provided more than 2 million free health screenings and trained more than 300,000 healthcare professionals and students to better serve people with intellectual disabilities.

Henry Schein’s support covers a range of services, including dental care, vision and hearing screenings, physical therapy, podiatry, preventive health, sports physicals, and mental health. The company also supports Healthy Young Athletes, the program’s pediatric discipline.

The partnership is designed not only to provide direct health services but also to help healthcare professionals gain experience and knowledge in delivering more inclusive care.
