Mavens Launches the World’s First Salesforce Based Medical Information Product for Pharmaceutical Companies

The Medical Information Cloud is A Multi-Channel Solution That Has the Flexibility to Grow and Change so Pharma Can Support Physicians and Patients in Ways They Could Not Before

Mavens, a Chicago-based company that designs and creates cloud-based solutions for the healthcare and life sciences industries through Salesforce, announced the launch of Medical Information Cloud, a multi-channel Salesforce-based product that helps pharmaceutical companies maximize current investments by giving them the tools to better engage with healthcare providers (HCPs) and patients.

Unlike current outdated medical information systems, the Medical Information Cloud, which is integrated with Veeva application, offers global scalability, extensibility and has the agility to change as companies grow. Now medical information specialists have access to a tool that allows for personalized engagement and strategically amplifies medical interactions across a pharma organization.

“The extensibility of this platform is so important because the industry is rapidly changing and the needs of customers are out pacing most product development organizations ability to support those needs,” said Prasad Kanumury, CEO of Mavens. “Providing pharma with a single solution that integrates multiple channels is one of our value propositions that our competitors just can’t support—and is truly a testament to the forward thinking work we strive to accomplish at Mavens.”

The product supports medical inquiries and helps capture potential adverse events and product quality complaints. Patients and doctors, who have a question about a drug, can call, live chat, or email the contact center and the agent can provide them with a response in a timely manner.

  • Patients can utilize the medical information specialist to request certain drug interactions as well as other pertinent information;
  • Physicians can have the contact center lookup specific treatments using the content repository where all the core medical information lives, including scientific data, research, trials and previous studies live.

“Because of industry forces that are reducing commercial interactions with customers, there is increased significance in customer engagements with medical information organizations,” said Brett Balzer, Medical Information Lead at Mavens. “Knowing that those groups already had invaluable content available, we wanted to create a product so that doctors and patients could better access that content in a variety of ways, ultimately allowing pharma to capitalize on those interactions.”

Mavens designs and builds innovative cloud-based software solutions for the healthcare and life sciences industries with cloud technology like Salesforce and Veeva. Founded in 2007 by former Salesforce employees, its mission is to combine the best-in-class cloud technology to build software solutions that connect people to cures and elevate the global healthcare industry.

The launch of Medical information Cloud marks Mavens first product, which started as a service only platform and is now a global solutions company that is revolutionizing the healthcare industry offering both service and products.
