Company enhances its product portfolio and strengthens its commitment to client success in response to shifting industry dynamics and increasing adoption of virtual care
As a result of COVID-19, Greenway Health, a leading health information technology services provider, significantly adapted its approach to meet client needs in the new healthcare environment, including new collaborations, the launch of new solutions and the appointment of new C-level executives to its leadership team.
Notably, Greenway developed and launched three new solutions in 2020 with additional updates expected, including:
-
GRS Express. According to the Medical Group Management Association, 97% of physician practices experienced a negative financial impact from COVID-19. To ensure practice cash flow during the pandemic, Greenway launched a new Greenway Revenue Services offering, GRS Express. A simplified revenue cycle management (RCM) solution that can be deployed in as little as two weeks, this rapid response solution was designed to assist practices as they manage critical areas of the revenue cycle, providing immediate relief and improved, timely revenue collections. Greenway is also in the process of expanding current financial service offerings based on client needs to support practices business continuity plans. They expect to release their new offering, which includes the option for customizable services, in early 2021.
-
Greenway Telehealth™. With virtual care visits expected to exceed one billion in 2020, Greenway Telehealth was developed in response to ambulatory care providers need for a secure, high-quality and flexible remote care solution that can be easily integrated into established workflows, facilitating a remote patient-provider experience that optimizes practice efficiency and improves health outcomes.
-
Greenway Insights™. This summer Greenway announced a new agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Inc to promote collaboration in the healthcare industry with a goal of developing transformative products that will further meet the needs of ambulatory care practices in a post-COVID world. As a result of this agreement, Greenway is continuing its development of a cloud-based, data services platform, Greenway Insights, that provides direct access to a robust set of data analytics and machine learning capabilities.
In addition, Intergy v12.15 was released on December 11, 2020, marking the third major feature release in 2020. This most recent version includes integration with Greenway Telehealth, enabling a more streamlined virtual care experience for Greenway’s clients on the Intergy EHR platform.
Greenway’s new product launches and solution upgrades further supported its ambulatory care clients, such as Health Choice Network, as they sought new ways to maximize efficiency, improve clinical outcomes and reduce provider burden during and beyond the pandemic.
“The healthcare industry faced tremendous challenges in 2020, and our teams remained committed to supporting our health centers, safety-net providers and the more than 2.2 million patients they serve, improving their quality and access to care and providing overall support throughout the ongoing pandemic,” said Alejandro [Alex] Romillo, president/CEO of HCN. “We could not have achieved this without the support of many of our great partners like Greenway Health, that specifically provided us with revenue cycle management services enabling us to simplify our billing and identify new revenue opportunities as we fully focused on patient health and well-being.”
In the summer of 2020, Greenway also announced the appointment of its new president, Pratap Sarker, who brings decades of experience to the organization and will focus on ensuring the delivery of quality solutions that are critically needed to support practices in a post-COVID environment. Dr. Michael Blackman also joined Greenway as chief medical officer, playing a key role in leading the organization’s provider-first experience and ensuring providers are equipped with the solutions they need to succeed in value-based care.
“Reflecting back on 2020, I am proud of the accomplishments of our team and for their commitment to our clients as we aim to provide our best support capabilities, services and solutions to help them to maintain business continuity,” said Sarker. “As we head into the new year, we will further work alongside our healthcare providers to ensure they can continue to deliver quality care to patients, whether it’s providing the latest updates and information regarding the COVID-19 vaccine or facilitating routine virtual care visits.”
Further demonstrating the value of its services and innovative suite of solutions, Greenway was named a 2020 Gold Winner in the Company Rethinking of the Year category of the Golden Bridge Awards, and was honored by Frost & Sullivan with its North American Ambulatory Revenue Cycle Management Customer Value Leadership Award.
